I am a lurker on the listserv and enjoy reading about all the birds spotted in the area.
I don't typically post so forgive me if I break any rules but I was just admiring the cardinals, blue jays, and other birds in the back yard when I noticed something moving in the woods.
Much to my surprise, there was a ring necked pheasant strolling through my woods. I live about 1/2 mile from the Hill and Dale gun club so I suspect that this is an escapee but it was sure neat to see. I have also seen bob white in my yard (most likely from the club also)
Peace,
