My son Jack Stenger asked me to post the following report.
__________________
Yesterday, April 25, Dana Owen and I found 2 Osprey
constructing a nest on the cell phone tower just west of the
intersection of Horseshoe Rd and Leonardsburg Rd, just
outside Delaware Wildlife Area. The female was sitting on the
tower while the male was gathering large sticks for the nest
from the nearby swamp.
Other birds observed in the WA:
7 Caspian Terns (Delaware Reservoir beach)
4 Forster's Terns (beach)
2 Gadwall
1 Common Yellowthroat
1 Yellow Warbler
Delaware WA is located 4 miles north of Delaware, OH in
Delaware county.
