Finally some more FOS birds here in Poland Twp., Mahoning Co. -- yellow warbler and hooded warbler. Also heard today were house wren, wood thrush, and rose-breasted grosbeaks. Some thoughts on Spring gulls -- I've had California gull once in March at Conneaut. While you're looking at the gulls, consider this -- I've seen Iceland gulls 2 or 3 times in mid-May at Conneaut, also late May glaucous gull once. Laughing gull is another distinct possibility now.
