My daughter and I went over to Lawrence Woods over in the Kenton area yesterday to take in the Trillium show going on there. White was in abundance with tons of Grandiflorum and a small patch of a nodding variety. I think I also saw one nodding purple near the boardwalk. Jack In The Pulpits were in abundance as well. Dutchman's Breeches were not blooming...yet. Solomon's Seal are almost there. Sandwart and Trout Lilies were foliage only.

As far as birding goes, it was a busy day on the board walk and it was more of a day of hearing rather than seeing. The birds were high up in the trees by the time we got there. Birders that came out as I was coming in reported several warblers and a Scarlet Tanager. I did get to see a House Wren and about a dozen Blue Grey Gnatcatchers.

Lawrence Woods is a great little place that has a boardwalk and a prairie. Info can be found here: http://www.dnr.state.oh.us/location/lawrence_woods/tabid/905/Default.aspx

Happy Birding and God bless.

29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father.
30 And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
31 So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

(Matthew 10.29-31)
