We did the monthly bird count at Magee today............finally.  It's
been a very busy month! 
There are still birds to be seen. Plenty of beautiful Canada Warblers
today and also a Mourning and a Connecticut!!
There will be a morning bird walk tomorrow leaving from the west end of
the boardwalk at 8:30 am if you would like to join us!

Next monthly count will be June 20 at 8 am.  Let us know if you would
like to help. 

The following 86 species were seen or heard today:

Pied-billed grebe, Double-Crested Cormorant, Great Egret, Trumpeter
Swan, Canada Goose, Mallard, Wood Duck, Red-tailed Hawk, Bald Eagle,
Common Moorhen, American Coot, Killdeer, Ruddy Turnstones, Herring Gull,
Common Tern, Mourning Dove, Black-billed cuckoo, E. Screech Owl,
Ruby-throated Hummingbird, Belted Kingfisher, N. Flicker, Red-bellied
Woodpecker, Downy Woodpecker, Great- crested flycatcher, Yellow-bellied
flycatcher, Acadian flycatcher, Willow Flycatcher, Least, E. Wood Pewee,
Tree Swallow, Barn Swallow, Purple Martin, Blue Jay, Black-capped
chickadee, White-breasted nuthatch, House Wren, Carolina Wren, Marsh
Wren, Gray Catbird, Brown Thrasher, Am. Robin, Swainson's Thrush,
Gray-cheeked Thrush, Veery, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Cedar Waxwing, E.
Starling, Blue-headed vireo, Red-eyed vireo, Warbling Vireo,
Prothonotary Warbler, TN Warbler, Nashville, Yellow, Black-throated
Blue, Chestnut-sided, Bay-breasted, Ovenbird, Mourning, Common
Yellowthroat, Wilson's, Canada, Am. Redstart, Red-winged blackbird, N.
Oriole,  Common Grackle, Brown-headed cowbird, N. Cardinal, Indigo
Bunting, Chipping Sparrow, White-crowned Sparrow, white-throated
sparrow, Lincoln's , Swamp, Song, House Finch, American goldfinch,
House Sparrow
