Hell Everyone,
For the past several weeks Pickerington Ponds on the
SE side of Columbus has had some really good shorebird
habitat. I have been checking it daily on my lunch
break. So far just the regular shorebirds have been
around, but today there were a couple of good birds.
One was an adult Long-billed Dowitcher molting into
basic plumage, the other was a very dapper looking
juvenile American Golden Plover. Other birds present
were Pectoral Sandpiper, Lesser Yellowlegs,
Semipalmated Plover, Semipalmated Sandpiper, and Least
Sandpiper. I will keep everyone updated if anything
rare shows up!
Good Birding!
