At 10AM today, Saturday, Jeff Harvey, in the company of my wife Denise and I, refound the Nelson's Sparrow reported yesterday by Ryan Steiner at Funk. As a bonus, a second Nelson's was nearby in the same view, a foot away. To reach the Nelson's site go to the observation tower off of SR95 at the town of Funk, walk past the tower, down the the path, till you reach an old culvert pipe, check the area on the right, great views of both birds were easily seen. Boots are recommended. The celebrity early arrivals were still present at 10:30AM. Bob Lane / Mahoning County
