Yesterday (7-6-11) there was a Sedge Wren singing at
Mosquito Wildlife Area in Trumbull County. It was in the large field east of
Penniman Road about ¼ mile south of Dunkerton Rd. This had been the most
reliable location for Sedge Wrens in Trumbull County for many years now.
You must remain on the road at this location as the Wildlife Area property
is off limits here. Other species of note included Northern Harrier and
Alder Flycatcher. The flycatcher has been on territory south of Dunkerton
about ½ mile before the intersection with Penniman for a few weeks now.
