Today at the Bohannon Nature Preserve in Delaware Co., several good
birds were seen by the ornithology class. Partial list and notes
below:
Wild Turkey 2, males calling
Double-crested Cormorant 5, flyovers
Great Blue Heron 1
Merlin 1, just zipping along, flyover
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker 1
Pileated Woodpecker 2
Winter Wren 2, singing
Yellow-rumped Warbler 1
Louisiana Waterthrush 1, singing
Other warblers- absent!
White-winged Crossbill 3, flying around, landing in pines
Pine Siskin 1, calling, flying over
