Hi all,

I had a surprising 9 shorebird species from Shrum Mound in Columbus this
evening (see ebird checklist below for a map), including 3 SANDERLING, a
Ruddy Turnstone, and a large flock of Least & Semipalm sandpipers.

The mudflats in the quarry are expansive, and run from the rookery island
all the way up to the north end of the quarry. Gaps in the trees provide
barely adequate scope views from the top of the mound.

More details at http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S14797054

Good birding,
Paul Hurtado
