I was able to get away for a little while this morning and spend a few hours
birding the south end of Hoover Reservoir. It was extremely cold, probably
close to 0 deg. F with windchill. A little windy, but not too bad. Snowing
lightly off and on. I started at the Dam and spillway, and worked my way
northward along the western shore. It ended up being a pretty good day for
birds. Here's what I saw:

SNOW BUNTING ~35 (2 small flocks flew over, coming in from the NE and
heading SW)

maybe one or two more mixed in w/ the buntings)

heading SW; about 16 or 18 birds total, mostly Longspurs but a few larks
mixed in)
