Yesterday, the sky ponds in the farm fields around Deer Creek (Dick/Mouser
Road and Crownover Road) produced a few shorebirds - both yellowlegs,
semipalmated sandpipers and least sandpipers, semipalmated plovers,
killdeer. Also, horned larks. The beach at Deer Creek was totally flooded
but I managed to see one spotted sandpiper in the grass at the edge of the
water.
