I earlier posted that I what I thought was a swan was probably a Snow
Goose, but more experienced birders have asked a few questions that helped
me.
The bird I saw was larger than the canadian geese, with a longer neck than
a snow goose and, although my Sibley's showed Mute Swans with black bills,
Cornell showed orange bills.
So what I saw was PROBABLY a mute swan.
So here is a question- do they migrate or did he just show up from a local
pond somewhere?
Thank you for all the help
