A friend of mine who lives in Avon Lake (Lorain County) contacted me today. She knows I'm a birder and she has a "large oriole with no black on his head" pecking at the glass apples on her hummingbird feeders. She's convinced that it is an Altamira Oriole. It's been there for three days. I gave her my cell phone number so I will head over as soon as I get a call. She is not an experienced birder, but has watched the bird extensively. Are there any records of this bird in Ohio? I'll take my camera when I go and i'll keep you posted.

Spencer
