Columbus area birders might keep an eye out for the/a banded Black-Crowned
Night-Heron near the Scioto Audubon Metro Park. I saw it Friday, August 15
2014 around 11am (and again later in the afternoon) in the boat launch area
roosting in a tree. The exact location (according to Google Maps)
was 39.9436515,-83.0026704
The partial band number on the right leg reads: ...367-7016...
Unfortunately, the BBL was unable to narrow it down much without the full
number.
If you see this bird and can get a scope on it, I'd love to hear from you!
:-)
