Blendon Woods Metro Park is located in the northeast corner of
Columbus off of I 270 & Rte 161. Take the Little Turtle Way exit
At Blendon Woods Metro Park we have 4 Chimney Swift Towers that
were built by Boy Scouts for Eagle Scout projects.
Chimney Swift Towers
Amphitheater-near Nature Center-nesting Chimney Swifts
Thoreau Lake-nesting Chimney Swifts
Picnic Area-no knowledge of nesting pair. They may be there
but we don't know
Goldenrod Trail (pet trail)-Last Friday evening a visitor
saw many Chimney Swifts enter the Chimney Swift tower at Dusk
This time of year this behavior begins. Each
night there is a possibility of seeing this behavior
