I spent most of yesterday at Springfield L., near Akron in Summit Co. There were only a few fishing boats on the lake during the whole day. Birds were pretty scarce though, and included pied-billed grebe, 3 great blue herons, Cooper's hawk, red-tailed hawk, 50 Am. coots, 2 killdeer, ring-billed gulls, and a few herring gulls. Craig Holt, Lowellville
