I've been checking the Mahoning R. from Struthers to Lowellville regularly. The river has remained high and fast-running, which is not ideal for attracting waterbirds. In the Struthers portion over the last few days have been: Canada geese, Am. black ducks, mallards, ring-necked ducks, hooded mergansers, pied-billed grebe, bald eagle, red-shouldered hawk, red-tailed hawk, and e. bluebird. Craig Holt, Lowellville
