Hello All,

Yesterday, a couple of us birded from Bridgeport down to Marietta and back on the Ohio, and we had a pretty good day:

Bald Eagle - 2 adults in Bellaire
American Kestrel - 8 on the way down, 5 on the way back, and at least a few of the 'way back' ones had to be new
Double-crested Cormorants - 25-30, from 3+ locations
Red-shouldered Hawk - 5, all further south, including 2 calling the the trees at the Bird Watcher's Digest office
Yellow-rumped Warbler - 1 at BWD
Pied-billed Grebe - 4 on Mud Lane, just below St. Marys; 9 at Hannibal just above the dam
Hooded Merganser - 3M, 2F at Mud Lane
Gadwall - 1 at Mud Lane
Peregrine Falcon - On the St. Marys Bridge
Common Merganser - 1 on the river, between St. Marys and Hannibal
Common Loon - 1 on the river, between St. Marys and Hannibal, maybe 200-300 yards north of the COME
Bufflehead - 3M, 2F at Hannibal above the dam
Ring-necked Duck - 14 at the first creek inlet just above Hannibal Dam
American Coot - 8 at the first creek inlet just above Hannibal Dam
European Starling - just below Bellaire, a 'murmuration' of 10-15K starlings, swirling like a tornado, then a huge ball

Ryan Tomazin - Bridgeville, PA
