A dozen tundra swans flew, calling, over my Chardon village house on Saturday afternoon. Isn't this a funny time for them to be here? I thought they wintered on the Chesapeake Bay, and went back north in early March. Maybe they were outrunning the advancing cold front. We are now buried in over a foot of snow!
