I did not find the shrike. However, while walking the field west of the Lane Road entrance, I found a GRAY CATBIRD. I first was alerted to its presence when I clearly heard the meow- like call it gives off, at least five times. I had a quick glance at it flying into a bush as well. I was not able to get a picture. Just to note that the Snowy Owl off Kidron Rd near the Country Salvage Bent and Dent Grocery Store was still present as of 3:00 this afternoon (Saturday). It was on the ground about where Jon Cefus reported seeing it earlier today. See other reports for more exact location.
