Did some atlassing in east Portage County, between West Branch and Berlin this
morning. I was a little disappointed not to find any orchard orioles. Heard a
couple red-headed woodpeckers from a distance and a pair of purple martins was
a nice surprise too.
Calvin Rd: ruby-throated hummingbird, alder flycatchers
Gilbert Rd (it was getting late and hot, missed ovenbirds here): blue-gray
gnatcatcher, 2 cerulean warblers, 5 Am redstarts, yellow-billed cuckoo
Porter Rd, Yale: yellow-billed cuckoo, 3 bobolinks
Rock Spring Rd: imm common loon on reservoir
Wayland Rd: bobolink
Peace,
