Saturday, Sept. 8 - 9:45 a.m. to noon

Main Park - Overnight rain has covered the lake with water, and a scope is
definitely needed.  No shorebirds were seen at the south end of the  lake.
    Great egret - 1
    Pied-billed grebe - 1
    Pectoral sandpiper - 5
    Lesser yellowlegs - 12
    Spotted sandpiper - 3
    Semipalmated sandpiper - 4
    Least sandpiper - 4
    Greater yellowlegs - 1
    Green- and blue-winged teal - female
    Killdeer
    Wood duck
    Great blue heron
    Mallard
    Turkey vulture
    Cooper's hawk
    Common nighthawk (25) - flying over Rt. 40  just west of the riding center

North Park:
    Blue grosbeak
    Solitary sandpiper
    House wren
    Song and field sparrows
    Turkey vulture
    Great blue heron
    Mallard
    Wood duck
    Indigo bunting
    Barn swallow
    Chimney swift
    Ring-billed gull
    Goldfinch
