We took a walk this evening at the Ottawa NWR ponds. We found Marbled
and Hudsonian Godwits. Both were together allowing great comparison
views on size, color and shape. We also found a Dunlin mixed in with
good numbers of both Yellowlegs, Semi-palmated and Pectral Sandpipers.
A good variety of dabbler ducks are arriving. No divers yet. Both
Egrets are still present, but BC Night Herons seem to be gone.
