Sorry for the late post, but I've had little tinme at the computer.  Hoover Reservoir on the 26th, scanning the reservoir from accesses from Sunbury causeway south.  The day witnessed the 'coming of the loons', with several Spring plumaged birds scattered around the lower reservoir.  Two birds off the Sunbury causeway were even fighting and calling.  Other birds of note included:

Lesser Scaup - there was still a flock of 30 birds near the dam
Bufflehead - 6 were northeast of the dam
Red-br.Mergansers - small flocks were at several sites, with the most being 40 north of the dam
Horned Grebes - 7-8 off several different areas
Bald Eagles - 2 adults were sitting together in a tree on an island north of the Sunbury causeway.  Chummy raptors at this time of year could indicate a mated pair, so we might want to look for nest-building somewhere around the northern end of the reservoir.
Gulls - after the huge numbers of the last few weeks, 40 Ring-bills and 1 Herring seemed low, but were actually not far from normal for this date
Tree Swallows - small numbers had returned to most areas along the shore.
