Ohio birders,
I've recently set up an automated nocturnal flight call recording
station at my house in downtown Columbus. On the night of August
29-30, I recorded quite a few flight calls. The best was an UPLAND
SANDPIPER at 3:16am. Other species included several each of Veery and
Swainson's Thrush. Many warbler calls were also detected but I have
not analyzed those yet for IDs. I can send anyone a WAV file of any
of these flight calls if you're interested.
Good birding,
Dave
