Greetings----Much traveling and birding the last 3 days. On 11/5----at HBSP: green-winged teals, greater and lesser scaups, 525 r-b mergansers, 7 c. loons, horned grebe, d-c cormorant, Cooper's hawk, 47 dunlins, 1500 Bonaparte's gulls, ruby-crowned kinglet, 20 snow buntings. Huge numbers of red-breasted mergansers, Bonaparte's gulls, and ring-billed gulls at Eastlake Power Plant. Thousands of each. Also a common merg, cormorants, great blue herons, great black-backed gulls. At Sims Park in Euclid: male white-winged scoter, 4 black scoters, buffleheads, greater scaups, c. goldeneyes, r-b mergs, c. loon, golden-crowned kinglets, cedar waxwing. On 11/6-7 at Conneaut: gadwalls, green-winged teal, greater scaups, 2 female LONG-TAILED DUCKS, r-b mergs, c. loons, 30 horned grebes, p-b grebes, 3 black-crowned night-herons, d-c cormorants, n. harrier, Am. coots, greater yellowlegs, 100 dunlins, moderate number of the expected 4 gull species, 9 CHIMNEY SWIFTS (this
morning in town), Am. pipits, golden-crowned kinglet, about 90 total snow buntings, Am. tree sparrows. At Ashtabula today added only ring-necked ducks. Later, Craig Holt, currently camping at Conneaut harbor
