I made a trip to Conneaut Harbor today to try for the Willet that was seen by Gabe Leidy on the 3rd. I
arrived at Conneaut at about 11:30 and got the scope out to view the wetland. Sure enough, right
when I got out of the car, a flock of 5 WILLETS flew down into the mudflat and stayed there feeding
for the time I was there. Other birds seen were
Osprey 1
Least Sandpiper about 6/7
Bank Swallow
Purple Martin
Barn Swallow
At the Observation Deck, there was 1 Mute Swan seen in the water.
24 species of birds was the total there today in about an hour total.
Good Birding,
