Here at Mockingbird Hill Farm in Williamsburg Ohio (Clermont County) we have a Killdeer sitting on 4 eggs in the front yard. We have a field in front of the house that we mowed in the fall. Two days ago I noticed two killdeers in the field acting very territorial. I checked it out today and found four eggs. Normally, I mow this field once a year in the spring, but I had to mow it last fall. Most years the Killdeers nest in the driveway or flower beds in late May or June.
