Finally! A lifer for me! A Common Redpoll male was dining on the
sunflower seeds at the feeder at 5:30 PM tonight!
He was joined by a male Hairy, male Downy, White-breasted Nuthatch,
Red-breasted Nuthatch, female Cardinal, Juncos, Titmouse, Black-capped
Chickadee, House finches, Gold finches, and a Blue Jay - all sharing the
suet and seeds. It's certainly hard to find better dinner companions
than this within 3 feet of my dining room window and table.
Barb Natterer - Chatham Twp, Medina Co.
