Definitely some good birding to be had at Avon Lake Power Plant of late.  Still plenty of open water on the lake, as the ice concentrations blow around from day to day, hour to hour, but the warm water outlet is attracting good numbers of ducks and gulls.  Highlights were:

White-winged Scoter  1
Long-tailed Duck  1
Iceland Gull  2  1st, 3rd cycles
Glaucous Gull  2  1st cycle

A severe storm which blew in produced a steady, eye-watering northwest blast, which made it hard to scope in this direction without eyes watering.  As the temperatures will remain below ridiculous, the birding here should continue to get improve in the coming days.

Good birding!
