On Thursday, Nov. 1, Tim Hochstetler and I spent the day trying to track down migrant raptors as they crossed the state line from Michigan into Ohio. Things were quiet in the morning but heated up in the afternoon. We saw kettles of Red-tailed Hawks that reached 20, 25, and 29 birds, along with some nice groups of TVs. This were the biggest groups of Red-tails I have seen together in Ohio during migration.
Turkey Vulture - 490
Northern Harrier - 2
Bald Eagle - 3
Sharp-shinned - 3
Cooper's - 2
Golden Eagle - 1
Red-shouldered - 12
Rough-legged - 1
Red-tailed - 210
