I had a chance to walk the trail between the Happy Days Visitor Center and the
Ledges at Virginia Kendall yesterday(Friday) following a meeting.
Went looking for skunk cabbage and coltsfoot but was happy to find a Louisiana
waterthrush moving along the small stream's edges and then singing for us.
Also saw two wood ducks fly through the tree tops and my first eastern phoebe
of the year. Lots of kinglets moving around in the hemlocks.
Finished the day stopping at Sheldon's Marsh to see the scissor tailed
flycatcher! What a beautiful bird!
