The warm southern breeze blew in the first Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher of the year
yesterday. Also, I had my first Chipping Sparrow at the feeders.
Last Friday, a pair of quail walked through the front yard going toward the
area where I saw them earlier in the year. I don't think they found the
feeders since they havent been back.
Phoebes are building a nest in their favorite spot above the garage door,
and there is a dove sitting on a nest in one of the spruce trees, about two
limbs up from where it was last year.
Now I am waiting to hear the Whip-Poor-Will.....it arrived on April 2 last
year.......
