The adult Black-legged Kittiwake is still present at the Hoover
Reservoir Dam. I observed it in the waters just before the spillway last
night around 5:30. You couldn't ask for better views of the bird. No
other unusual gulls were seen, the gulls seemed to be more dispersed
across the water. Still a lot of Herring Gulls present, though.
Waterfowl included Common Goldeneye, a pair of Greater Scaup,
Red-breasted Mergansers, lots of Redheads, a single Canvasback, and some
Ring-necked Ducks. Dabblers included Mallards, Black Ducks, and
shovelers.
Good Birding,
Andy Sewell
Columbus, Ohio
