In a few spare moments, I stopped by both the Alum Creek Lake beach area and Visitor's Center, then Heritage park downstream in Westerville. No big fallout today, but more migrants are slipping in. Highlights included:

Shorebirds - the Alum Creek Lake Beach had only 6-8 Kildeer and 1 Spotted Sandpiper

Gulls - surprisingly, not a single gull was around the lower end of Alum Creek Lake

Swallows - a flock of 20-25 Cliffs were swirling around the Alum Creek Lake dam, while a male Purple Martin was warbling over a martin house nearby

Vireos - only Warbling, but 1-2 of them were at both parks

Winter Wren - a late bird was in the forest north of the Visitor's Center at Alum Creek lake

Kinglets - only a few Ruby-crowns at each location

Mimids - Catbirds were singing at each park, but only AlumCreek Lake had a singing Brown Thrasher

Warblers - Yellow-rumps were the most common at both parks, but each only had 3-5. Heritage had a singing Pine Warbler and Yellow-throated, while ACL had 2 singing Yellow Warblers just east of the Visitor's Center

Sparrows - still small flocks of White-throats on the move at both spots, and ACL had small groups of Field and Chipping, but little else was noted

Meadowlarks - the wide grassy berm of the ACL dam had 2 singing meadowlarks
