Four ladies from the Cincinnati area did their annual migration to Killdeer Pl. in search of raptures. We were fortunate to find 4 Long-eared Owls at the "alternate" pine stand, several No. Harriers, 1 Rough-legged Hawks taking prey, numerous Kestrals, even more Red-tails, and 3 Short-eared Owls to finish out the day. Sadly we missed the Saw-whet.

Also interesting we the birds we found at the open water at pond 27. Beside the hundred of Canada Geese we found No. Pintails, Black Ducks, and Mallards. Stars of that area tho' were 2 Green-winged Teal and 1 Horned Grebe. There were also all three Swan sp.
