At least 3 Short-eared Owls were seen just before dark (5:30 p.m.) on Saturday the 6th at the old Coliseum grasslands at I-271 and Rt. 303. They first hunted at the far north end of the field near the woods, but soon came much closer to the road. There is a wide gravel shoulder to Rt. 303 where you can pull off to observe - opposite the freeway exit.

Observers,

Lue Wiggins
Judy Evans
Patty Kellner
Jim Heflich
