Around 4PM today, in constant rain, there was still a nice small variety of shorebirds remaining around the SR225 bridge area. We walked from the Drive-In Beach area to SR225 and return. Here they are plus some others:
Green-winged Teal 2
Great Egret 24+
Black-bellied Plover 2 (1 near perfect male breeding plumage)
American Golden-Plover 6
Semipalmated Plover 10+
Killdeer 75+
Lesser Yellowlegs 8+
Sanderling 1
Semipalmated Sandpiper 2
Least Sandpiper 1
White-rumped Sandpiper 2
Pectoral Sandpiper 30+
Buff-breasted Sandpiper 1 (standing on the old concrete road)
