While attending a Memorial Day observance this afternoon, I heard a
vigorously singing Dickcissel. The location was the Garrison Corners
Cemetery, south of Blanchester. From Blanchester, go south of OH 123 to
Shawnee Trace Road. Turn left (east) and the cemetery is just ahead on the
right. The bird was singing from the fallow field to the east and south of
the cemetery.

Peterjohn characterized this bird's occurrence in our part of Ohio as
erratic, but for the last four years, we have been able to find singers in
Clinton, Greene and Highland counties every year.

Cheers,

Bob
