Waterfowl near the Cheshire Road causeway across Alum Creek Reservoir, Alum
Creek State Park, include new arrivals, 11 Horned Grebes, 41 Red-breasted
Mergansers, and 13 Ring-necked Ducks along with more usual wintering Hooded
Mergansers (14) and Canada Geese. All were within a few hundred meters south
of the causeway tucked in the lee of the west shoreline.
