Hi All-

I saw the Wood Storks 3 times over the weekend (no internet at home to post this) and I took several short movies with my point and shoot digital camera.  They came out pretty good. I posted them on youtube.com and you can access them by searching under my user name- browncreeper53    One shows the birds using their wing when feeding-it almost looks like it is using the shadow of the wing to "herd" the food forward towards the bill.

I also have some videos of the Purple Martins roosting on Nimisilia Reservoir.  It is amazing to sit under the birds as the circle, then finally land.  The noise is hard to describe--like heavy rustling.

I plan on checking the Purple Martin roosting area again tonight.

Bird on-
