The ice storm increased my GBBC feeder birds, in Chardon one block from
the high school. I had my first common redpoll ever at the feeders, for 5
hours. Also both nuthatches, cowbirds, tree sparrows, robins, titmice,
chickadees, pine siskins, goldfinches, downy, hairy and red-bellied
woodpeckers, and other common feeder birds. 22 species. A song sparrow
appeared today. Last week we visited Hayes Road in Middlefield and there
were many horned larks, and several RT Hawks, but saw no buntings,
longspurs nor Rough- legged Hawks. Marilyn Rohr, Chardon
