Posting this on behalf of Joe Hammond:

The previously reported red-throated loon at Hoover Reservoir (Delaware
Co.) was seen during the afternoon of 11-19-06 by Joe & Jill Hammond. It
was well north and east of the Oxbow Road boat ramp and was not hanging
out with any of the 25 or so common loons on the reservoir.

A walk along the boardwalk from Galena failed to produce the eared
grebe, but did provide nice close-up looks at hooded mergansers and a
horned grebe.
