Greetings... John Habig wrote an article about the birds reported here
on the Ohio-birds list serve during 2007. It's available on the Ohio
Ornithological Society website under the "news" section at
http://www.ohiobirds.org.

The article raises a few questions about the nature of bird reports,
what gets reported and what doesn't get reported, as well as to where
and when the "what" gets reported, etc. There's also a complete list
of the species reported to the list serve in 2007 and two tables that
break down some of the reporting by month and rarity level. Of course,
not every bird recorded in Ohio by birders and researchers in 2007
made it to the Ohio-birds list serve, but that's part of the article,
too.

I thought list serve members and readers might find the article of interest.
