I went to boat races at Delaware SP (Delaware Co.) over the weekend, and of course got some fun birding in.  We arrived around noon on Friday the 13th and remained until Sunday afternoon.  On the way down on the night of 5/12, a tire problem forced us to stop in Mansfield (Richland Co.) where I was happy to hear a common nighthawk.  We spent that night at the I-76/Rte. 36/37 interchange in Delaware Co.  In the morning I saw an osprey visiting a nest on a cell tower there.  At Delaware SP we were based at the beach area.  So I did a lot of lake watching plus walked around the roads between there and the campground before the rains set in.  Birds included: double-crested cormorant, 2 bald eagles, killdeers w/young, pair of spotted sandpipers, 1 dunlin 5/14, ring-billed gulls, ruby-throated hummingbird, e. wood-pewees, Acadian flycatchers, great crested flycatcher, e. kingbirds, yellow-throated vireos, warbling vireos, red-eyed vireos, purple
martins, cliff swallows, blue-gray gnatcatchers, Swainson's thrush, wood thrush, 4 blue-winged warblers, yellow warblers, Tennessee warblers, 3 blackpoll warblers, Am. redstart, prothonotary warbler, c. yellowthroats, scarlet tanager, indigo buntings, and Baltimore orioles.  Craig Holt, Lowellville
