When I stepped outside the door this morning, the first bird I saw was a YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHER. The birds continued to appear as I walked around our property, with many NORTHERN FLICKERS moving through, then a couple of pockets of warblers, including BLACKBURNIAN, CANADA, NASHVILLE, BLACK-THROATED GREEN, MAGNOLIA, and CAPE MAY WARBLERS. Overall, a very birdy morning and an enjoyable time to be out. This is the best migration I've seen this fall; I did have a SWAINSON'S THRUSH on Friday, but not much else. As always, full property species list is available here: http://blakemathys.com/propertylist.html
