When I came home from work this afternoon, I was greeted by a number of new
arrivals. The best was a CLAY-COLORED SPARROW that fed out in the open
grass for about an hour or so. Other new birds were Lincoln's sparrow and a
couple indigo buntings. There were also about 150 white-throated sparrows,
10-12 white-crowned sparrows, 22 chipping sparrows, 2 dark-eyed juncos, and
single field and swamp sparrows.
