Birders,
With recent posts about a migrant push on the weekend, I went out to
Conneaut Harbor, figuring that (a) the place would be drenched with
shorebirds and (b) I'd have the place to myself as everyone else would
be chasing warblers. I was wrong on (a) and right on (b).
Conneaut:
Lesser Yellowlegs (2)
Killdeer (2)
Blue winged teal (4)
Bonaparte's Gulls (TNTC)
Caspian Terns (>20)
Ring billed gulls (>20)
Double crested cormorant (>20, multiple formations flying west)
Marsh Hawk (1)
Canada Goose (<10)
Song Sparrow (<10)
heard sora, V. rail
N. Chagrin ponds:
Wood duck
Ruddy duck (2)
Mallard
Pied-billed grebe
Tree swallow
Barn swallow
Robin
Cardinal
Yellow-rumped warbler
good birding,
Bill
