I can't rule out day length, but I didn't get any additional cardinals in the yard until the past week. I find the territorial/tolerant behavior is largely, if not entirely, weather related which can be entertaining to follow in our variable early springs!

"My" song sparrow currently has no tail. Is this normal for January?
